The 1560 Statute

The Statute of Corciano, drawn up by Bernardus Ballarinus de Perusia, Portae Sanctae Susannae et Parochiae Sancti Stephani, was solemnly approved on 4 November 1560 by the men of the Community, gathered, according to the ancient custom, in the church of Santa Maria. One of the most famous jurists of the 16th century, the canonist Filippo Baldeschi, contributed to the compilation of the Statute.
