Pietro Vannucci, known as Perugino
fresco
The fresco of the Deposition from the Cross by Perugino is from 1517 and is the most important work of his maturity, which remained hidden in a space between walls until 1834. The painting is not visible in its entirety, but it is still possible to recognize the hand of the artist.
