Civic and Diocesan Museum of the Servants of Mary
The Civic and Diocesan Museum of Mary of the Servants in Città della Pieve, inaugurated on 21 March 2009, is located in the former Church of ‘Santa Maria dei Servi, built in the second half of the 13th century by the Order served, which was established in the town between 1260 - 1270. Between 1486 and 1489 the complex was enlarged thanks to the legacy of Brother Pietro Lazzari, who was the general procurator of the Order of the Servants of Mary. In 1538 the church was consecrated and dedicated to the Santissima Annunziata. The interior of the church was completely modified in the first quarter of the18th century and is the finest example of Baroque in Città della Pieve.
