Campo del Sole

Campo del Sole is an architectural masterpiece consisting of 27 column-like sculptures made of local sandstone, and manufactured by artists of multiple nationalities between 1985 and 1989. Placed on the Tuoro-Navaccia shore, it serves as a primary example of a sculpture of our times.

The outstanding site recalls ancient Etruscan and Roman memories, as well as the tragic loss of legions at the Trasimeno Lake. Nowadays, Campo del Sole is a meditation area and an ideal place for the meeting of and conversing between people and cultures.
